About Playa Santa Ana
By Equipe editorial GTM Labs · Updated
Playa Santa Ana is in the town of Boca del Río, next to the mouth of the Jamapa River, where the river meets the Gulf of Mexico. It is one of the five beaches the municipality lists along its 12 km of coastline. It bears the name of Santa Ana, patron saint of Boca del Río, whose festival is held every July; local fishermen keep the legend that her image appeared in the sea.
