About Playa Gaviota

By Equipe editorial GTM Labs · Updated

Playa Gaviota is an urban beach in Boca del Río, in the metropolitan area shared with the port of Veracruz, beside Boulevard Manuel Ávila Camacho. It is one of the five beaches the municipality lists along its 12 km of coastline, together with Santa Ana, Mocambo, La Bamba and Pelícano, and it is the southernmost of the boulevard stretch that begins at La Bamba and continues through Pelícano. Like the rest of the area's urban shoreline, it generally has low waves, except during the season of nortes (winter northerly storms). Offshore lies the Parque Nacional Sistema Arrecifal Veracruzano.
