About Playa Pelícano
By Equipe editorial GTM Labs · Updated
Playa Pelícano is an urban beach in Boca del Río, in the metropolitan area shared with the port of Veracruz, beside Boulevard Manuel Ávila Camacho, between La Bamba to the north and Gaviota to the south. Like the rest of the area's urban shoreline, it generally has low waves, except during the season of nortes (winter northerly storms). It is one of the five beaches the municipality lists along its 12 km of coastline, together with Santa Ana, Mocambo, La Bamba and Gaviota. Offshore lies the Parque Nacional Sistema Arrecifal Veracruzano.
