Urban beach northwest of downtown Mazatlán, along the malecón, from the Paseo Claussen area to the Monumento al Pescador. It is historic for the city: the port began here. Its surf is generally gentle. Fishermen still land and sell their catch near the monument. The malecón, with parks and an outdoor gym, makes it a gathering place for walking, jogging and cycling.
