Small beach about 200 m (650 ft) long on Paseo Claussen, on Mazatlán's malecón, next to the Casa del Marino and the UAS School of Marine Sciences, beside the Fuerte 31 de Marzo. It sits in a cove between two rocky points. It is also known as Los Pinitos. Near the shore the water is usually calm, and a little farther out good-sized waves break: local families use it, and so do experienced surfers. There are sea urchins on the nearby rocks.
