About Playa Isla de la Piedra

By Equipe editorial GTM Labs · Updated

Beach of Isla de la Piedra (Stone Island), which is actually a peninsula south of the port of Mazatlán, across the shipping channel. It is the most important stretch of the municipality's coastline, with a sandy beach more than 10 km long facing the Pacific and coconut groves behind it. It has waves sought by surfers, on the beach and next to the channel jetty, where a demanding wave breaks over a rocky bottom. It is reached in a few minutes by boat from the port's landing or by paved road. It is a day-trip destination, with horseback and ATV rides on the sand.
