Playa Quieta lies north of Ixtapa's Zona Hotelera, near Playa Linda and the pier for Isla Ixtapa. It is a calm-water beach, sheltered from the open sea, with hotels along the shore, within the resort FONATUR began planning in 1968 on former coconut plantations.
