Playa Linda is at the northern end of Ixtapa, beyond the Zona Hotelera. It is home to the pier where boats leave for Isla Ixtapa, a few hundred meters offshore. The beach can be ridden on horseback as far as the mouth of the Ixtapa River, and, with rougher water than other Ixtapa beaches, it draws surfers. Nearby runs the bike path through an ecological reserve with ponds where crocodiles are often seen.
