Puerto Peñasco's hotel zone, northwest of the city: a sandy beach several kilometers long running from Playa Hermosa to Cholla Bay (La Choya), where the condo, hotel and housing developments built since the 1990s are concentrated. The tides are wide, several meters. It draws mostly visitors from Arizona and California who drive down from the border, and is used for water sports and walks along the shore.
