About the coast of Puerto Vallarta

By Equipe editorial GTM Labs · Updated

Puerto Vallarta sits on the Jalisco shore of Bahía de Banderas, on the Pacific Ocean. The Cuale River crosses the city and flows into the sea; the Malecón lies north of the river, and the Zona Romántica, with Playa Los Muertos, lies to the south. South of the city come Playas Gemelas and Mismaloya; between them, just offshore, are Los Arcos, a group of granite islets. John Huston's The Night of the Iguana (1963) was filmed at Mismaloya.
