The beach of the small village of Quimixto, on the southern shore of Banderas Bay, in the municipality of Cabo Corrientes, between Las Ánimas and Majahuitas. The village can only be reached by sea, by water taxi from Boca de Tomatlán (about 20 minutes), or by a long trail. About a kilometer and a half inland there is a waterfall reached on foot or on horseback. The main beach usually has gentle waves. Quimixto is also known among surfers in the October to April season.
