The beach of the village of Yelapa, in the southernmost cove of Banderas Bay, in the municipality of Cabo Corrientes. It is an inlet sheltered from the open sea, between jungle and mountains, where a river meets the sea. Its water is usually calm. The village has no road for cars: it is reached by water taxi from Boca de Tomatlán or from Puerto Vallarta. It is a fishing village that also receives visitors, and a footpath leads from town to a waterfall.
