Playa Tamarindos is one of the stretches of the long beach that continues from Hornos along Acapulco Bay, beside Avenida Costera Miguel Alemán, in the Acapulco Tradicional zone. It has about 700 meters of fine sand with many palm trees and gentle surf, and is one of the oldest beaches in the port. Local fishermen gather here in the mornings and at sunset, and beach soccer and volleyball tournaments and concerts are held in the area.
