Playa Icacos is the longest beach on Santa Lucía Bay, at more than two kilometers. It runs almost parallel to Avenida Costera Miguel Alemán, in the Acapulco Dorado zone, as far as the Base Naval at the east end of the bay. Its surf ranges from gentle to high: Cerro El Guitarrón shelters part of the beach. It is lined with hotels, condominium towers and shopping centers. It is a spot for water sports such as parasailing, jet skis and banana boats.
