Playa Manigua is in the urban area of Ciudad del Carmen, on Isla del Carmen, on the Laguna de Términos side. It has gentle waves, and its sandy shore mixes with mangroves, and boats leave from here for trips around the lagoon. The island is part of the Laguna de Términos Flora and Fauna Protection Area.
