Playa Noray is on the Costa Esmeralda, the beach corridor of northern Veracruz between Nautla and Tecolutla, in the municipality of Tecolutla. The point lies on the Playa Oriente stretch, a small coastal community reached from Nautla past Monte Gordo. It is a long beach open to the Gulf of Mexico, with fine sand and, like the rest of the Costa Esmeralda, generally gentle waves.
