Beach of Isla del Bosque, in the municipality of Escuinapa, in southern Sinaloa. It is the municipality's most historic beach: every May it hosts the Fiestas del Mar de Las Cabras, a tradition more than a century old in which thousands of families spend several days in palm-thatched shelters by the shore. Between Isla del Bosque and Teacapán runs a long, lightly developed coast of palm groves, estuaries and mangroves, with small fishing communities.
