An open-sea beach in the municipality of Compostela, about 25 km from Las Varas on Federal Highway 200 and some 30 km south of San Blas. Next to the small village there is a river mouth with a sandy bottom that draws surfers. The beach is a federal Protected Natural Area in the sanctuary category, decreed in 2024 to protect sea turtles and their nesting habitat. A CONANP turtle camp, founded in 1989, operates there, where mainly olive ridley turtles nest.
