The town beach of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, on the north shore of Banderas Bay in the municipality of Bahía de Banderas, between Bucerías and Punta de Mita. It is a cove sheltered from the open sea, with gentle waves, in a town that keeps its fishing tradition. Next to the beach is Marina Riviera Nayarit, a departure point for boats and water-sports enthusiasts; on Sundays a market with fish, seafood and crafts is held there. It lies about 25 km north of Puerto Vallarta.
