The northern stretch of the Nuevo Nayarit beach (formerly Nuevo Vallarta), in the Flamingos area of the municipality of Bahía de Banderas. It is part of the long, continuous strip of sand at the head of Banderas Bay, with generally calm water, between the Nuevo Nayarit marina area and Bucerías, with no jetties breaking it up. Behind the beach are hotels, condominiums and a golf course. In season, sea turtles nest on this coast and conservation groups relocate the nests.
