Open-ocean, black-sand beach at the mouth of the Armería River, on the Tecomán side, about 10 kilometers from the city. It is known internationally for its big, hollow waves, which break over a seafloor that drops off very close to shore, and it draws mostly experienced surfers; it is not a wave for beginners. The village is small and lives off surfing and fishing.
