Urban beach about 400 meters long next to Manzanillo's historic downtown, at the eastern end of the bay, between the start of the malecón (waterfront promenade) and the entrance to the inner port. It is the beach closest to downtown and one of the city's most traditional, used more by locals than by tourists, and sheltered from the open sea, with calm water. The Manzanillo sport fishing club is here, and city buses pass nearby.
