Open-ocean beach in front of the small village of El Paraíso, in the municipality of Armería, north of the mouth of the Armería River. It is a narrow strip of dark sand of volcanic origin, lined with seafood enramadas (palm-roofed eateries). With deep water and strong waves, it draws surfers and bodyboarders. Boat tours through the mangroves of the Palo Verde estuary leave from the area.
