Beach south of the port of San Felipe, about 4 km south of the Malecón, in the Las Minitas area. Past the rocky point of San Felipe, the coast continues southeast with flat, low, sandy beaches toward Punta Estrella. Like this whole part of the Gulf of California, it has very large tides: at low tide the sea pulls back a long way. Waves in the northern gulf are usually minimal, with no strong shore break.
