Beach on the upper Gulf of California about 16 km north of the port of San Felipe, on the stretch of beaches along the Mexicali–San Felipe highway, about 550 meters south of Burócratas and Los Faisanes beaches. Along this stretch, between the mouth of the Colorado River and Punta San Felipe, the coast is low and sandy, without vegetation, backed by plains that rise toward the inland ranges. Tides here are very large: at low tide the sea pulls back a long way. Waves in the northern gulf are usually minimal, with no strong shore break.
