Beach at the town of Huatabampito, in the municipality of Huatabampo, in southern Sonora, on the Gulf of California, about two and a half hours by road from Los Mochis, Sinaloa. It is a long beach, over 20 km, of fine sand with dunes, a gradual slope and gentle surf. Nearby, by the village of Moroncárit, is the estuary of the same name. In the first months of the year, from December to March, whales arrive along this stretch of coast and boat tours go out to see them. People also come for fishing and boat rides.
