Beach in the municipality of Guasave, about 40 km from the city on a paved road. It is a long beach of fine sand facing the Gulf of California, next to the mouth of the Sinaloa River, with mangroves and estuaries nearby. One kilometer to the west is La Ensenadita, a beach inside a natural cove. The area is known for rip currents, which have caused accidents. At Boca del Río, on the same beach, by the jetties, people have surfed for many years.
