Beach in Bahía de Kino, in the municipality of Hermosillo, at the southeastern end of Kino Nuevo, near Kino Viejo, the fishing village where most residents live and where the pier is. The horseshoe-shaped bay, with about 11 km of beach, faces the Gulf of California and Alcatraz and Tiburón islands. Its waters are generally calm. Kino is a weekend destination for Hermosillo, about 100 km away.
