Beach in Bahía de Kino, in the municipality of Hermosillo, on the central stretch of Kino Nuevo, the strip of homes, RV parks and services that runs for several kilometers northwest of Kino Viejo, the original fishing village. The horseshoe-shaped bay, with about 11 km of sandy beach, faces the Gulf of California; from the shore you can see Alcatraz Island and, farther off, Tiburón Island. Its waters are generally calm. It is a weekend destination for Hermosillo, about 100 km away.
