Beach in Bahía de Kino, in the municipality of Hermosillo, toward the northwestern end of Kino Nuevo, the strip of homes, RV parks and services that stretches for several kilometers along the coast from Kino Viejo, the original fishing village. The horseshoe-shaped bay, with about 11 km of beach, faces the Gulf of California and Tiburón Island, territory of the Comcaac (Seri) people. Its waters are generally calm. It is a weekend destination for Hermosillo, about 100 km away.
