Beach in Tulum's Zona Hotelera at Punta Piedra, around km 5 of the Tulum-Boca Paila road. Its defining feature is a rocky cape, formed hundreds of thousands of years ago and worn down by the waves, which serves as a lookout over the Caribbean. Beside it the coast forms a small, shallow bay, calmer when the tide is not high. It can also be reached by the bike path that runs alongside the road, and access is free.
