Long, open beach on Cozumel's east coast, facing the Caribbean, about a 30-minute drive from downtown San Miguel along the coastal road. It is open sea, where strong currents are frequent. The stretch of sand is lightly developed and is one of the public beaches island residents like best. In season, loggerhead and green sea turtles come ashore to nest.
