Beach in a cove on the Santiago peninsula, which separates Manzanillo Bay from Santiago Bay. It is a cove sheltered from the open sea, with generally gentle waves, framed by green hills and rocky points on both sides, where people snorkel and dive from shore. It is a short drive or taxi ride from downtown Manzanillo and is popular mainly with families. Its name recalls an audience that, according to tradition, was granted to the local people in colonial times.
