Playa Mis Amores is one of the named sections of the continuous fine-sand beach, about 42 km long, on the Tuxpan coast in northern Veracruz; it lies between Barra Norte, next to the mouth of the Tuxpan River, and Playa Azul. The Tuxpan beaches begin about 11 km from the city center. Local guides describe this coast as having calm waves and shallow water, although during the nortes, in the cold-front season, the waves can run high.
