Beach of La Pesca, a fishing town in the municipality of Soto la Marina, east of Ciudad Victoria. It lies at the mouth of the Soto la Marina River on the Gulf of Mexico, between Laguna Madre to the north and Laguna Morales to the south, in the area known as Las Escolleras, after the jetties at the river mouth. Its waves are usually gentle to moderate. Fishing, tourism and recreational boating are the base of the local economy.
