Main beach of Ciudad Madero, next to Tampico, on the Gulf of Mexico, and the city's main tourist attraction. It is an urban open-sea beach with a seaside promenade. At one end, by the mouth of the Pánuco River, are the jetties, with the Paseo de las Escolleras walkway; near them there are currents and holes in the seabed. Near the beach a beacon guides ships into the river channel.
