Beach of the fishing town of Altata, in the municipality of Navolato, west of Culiacán, reached by road. It lies on the town's waterfront on the bay of Altata, next to the malecón, where the seafood eateries are concentrated. It is bay water, generally calm and sheltered from the open sea. The bay is ringed by mangroves and estuaries, and fishing is the town's main activity; sportfishing boats leave from here.
