Open-sea beach about 2 km long, in the municipality of San Pedro Pochutla, on the southern coast of Oaxaca, between Puerto Ángel and Mazunte. It is a strip of golden sand running from the small cove of Playa del Amor at its eastern end to the rocks at its western end. In 2016 the municipality of San Pedro Pochutla allowed nudity on the beach, which is why it is known as a nude beach. It has strong surf and powerful rip currents, and it also draws surfers.
