Main beach of Puerto Ángel, also called Playa del Muelle, in the municipality of San Pedro Pochutla, about 9 km south of Pochutla. The fishing village sits on a small horseshoe-shaped bay whose entrance is sheltered by rocky outcrops that protect its beaches from the strong currents common along this coast. The beach holds the pier, with steady fishing boat traffic. A walkway along the shore links it with Playa del Panteón, on the west side of the bay.
