About the coast of Huatulco

Bahías de Huatulco is on the Costa of Oaxaca, in the municipality of Santa María Huatulco, and brings together nine Pacific bays: Conejos, Tangolunda, Chahué and Santa Cruz and, inside the Parque Nacional Huatulco, Órgano, Maguey, Cacaluta, Chachacual and San Agustín. It is a FONATUR Centro Integralmente Planeado. The bay of Santa Cruz has the harbor basin, the cruise pier and La Entrega beach, and Tangolunda has the hotel zone; to the east is the mouth of the Copalita River (La Bocana). The park, declared in 1998, protects low tropical forest, patches of mangrove, beaches, and coral and rock reefs.
