Beach at the mouth of the Nexpa River, at Barra de Nexpa, in the municipality of Aquila, next to Federal Highway 200. It is one of the best-known surf beaches in Michoacán: its main wave is a long left that breaks thanks to the shape of the point, the river mouth and the seafloor, and it draws surfers from many countries. The surf is usually strong, especially in summer. The atmosphere is rustic, with cabins and camping areas.
