Open-sea beach at km 18 of Boulevard Kukulcán, on the southern stretch of Cancún's Zona Hotelera. It is also known as El Mirador, for the raised platform that overlooks the coast. Across the boulevard is the El Rey Maya archaeological site. It is one of the public beaches most frequented by Cancún residents. Facing the open sea, it has strong waves most of the year, which draws surfers.
