Beach on the west side of Isla Mujeres, the side facing Cancún, a few steps from the main dock where the ferries arrive. It is the first beach you see when arriving by boat, and it runs north until it meets Playa Norte. Its water is calm, but unlike Playa Norte, the bottom drops off more quickly. It draws both visitors and island residents, and its southern stretch tends to be the least crowded.
