Payucán is one of the best-known beaches in the municipality of Seybaplaya, about 35 kilometers from the city of Campeche along Federal Highway 180. It has about a kilometer and a half of white sand and generally calm waves, with rock formations at its northern end and a strip of coastal forest that comes almost down to the shore. It is a sea turtle nesting area within the network of turtle camps. The Cueva del Morro is close by.
