Long sandy beach in front of the San José del Cabo hotel zone, stretching about 1.5 kilometers southwest from the San José estuary, a freshwater lagoon fed by underground water and known for birdwatching. It has a steep drop-off, with waves breaking right on the shore and a strong undertow; it is used mainly for walking, horseback riding and shore fishing.
