Open-sea beach in the municipality of Centla, about 10 km from Frontera, on the narrow strip of land where the Grijalva and Usumacinta rivers reach the Gulf of Mexico. It has fine gray sand, a gentle slope and calm to moderate waves, surrounded by small lagoons, mangroves and dense vegetation, and people visit to watch birds. Since 2019 the advancing sea has destroyed dozens of homes in the community of El Bosque, and its residents were relocated near Frontera.
